Instead of using a compressed air can to blow dust away in your computer can u use a blow dryer?

I dont have the money to buy a compressed air can yet and my computer overheats and shuts down. i used a vacuum to clean the fans but i know if u vacuum inside it creates static which is bad. So i was wondering if i could just use a blow dryer to take out all the dust?
