What is done when Spinal Bone Spurs start causing Pain and Numbness?

I went to my doctor last week and told him my Chiropractor had done an Xray and found 13 bone spurs in my neck and a twist and 21 down the rest of my spine and 2 more twists. He Referred me to a Spine Specialist. Now what can I expect? My arms and hands are swollen most the time these days and Numb and tingly. My feet and legs stay swollen. I have had a Dull nagging headache for 2 months. Since my sister talked me into going to the Chiropractor and she done 3 treatments on me. She used a tool she called a Small Jack Hammer used to realign the spine. I do not sleep well the past year I am lucky to sleep 4 or 5 hours a night. I Can not stand over 20 minutes at a time with out my legs getting so Shakey I feel like they will collapse. And Am having Bladder leakage problems. I go from Constipation to Diahrea without any notice. It is a choir just to brush my hair. Cooking meals and taking care of the house is gotten impossiable. I have to use a stool to sit on just to cook a meal. Doing the dishes or running the Vacuum is something I have so much pain doing I want to Cry from the Pain. I am just hoping with what they Call Degenerative Spinal Disc Disease and Degenerative Bone Disease there is something that can be done. I can not take Pain Medication Orally It causes Bleeding from my Ulcer. So even if they could or would Put in a Pain Medication Pump At least I could get pain medication with out causing stomach complaint. I can Not Even take Ibprufen with out pain Or blood in my Stool.

Is there anything I can do to get my retro check (Social Security Disability)?

Okay, so I applied for, and got SSDI. They told me I'd get my retro check within 90 days, and now its been six months... I think I've been patient enough, and the only thing the people at Social Security office can tell me is that its in the "Payment Center", that is so backlogged they somehow can't even contact the people at that specific "Payment Center". I've tried calling my lawyer to see what he thinks, and he says its out of his hands. I've called dozens of times the Social Security office, and they say they can't do anything. Is there ANYTHING I can do? Thanks in advance.

You could try the Citizen's Advice Bureau. (CAB). They will be able to tell you what to do next, and their service is free. They are a charity.
