How long does DSS have to review my SNAP benefits?

I know it's 30 days if you start a brand new application, but I recently turned in my 6 month review and my benefits didn't update when they were supposed to. Monday is 30 days from when I completed the review form. I called my caseworker a couple of weeks ago, and she pretty much said that there was a backlog and don't call us we'll call you.... is there anything I can do? My husband works, but we had a ridiculous snow storm back in January, which meant that not only did he not get to work for a week, but our gas bill was quadruple what it normally is, so my kid is on peanut butter and ramen. I'm a little desperate. -_-
