Hair gets stuck in my vacuum?

Ok so i need a new vacuum my old one broke and has burn smells because all the girls in my family have like shedding hair and whenever we vacuum the hair gets stuck around the rotating brush and it like burns I dont know but now after we clean the brush it still doesnt work right. Does anyone know of a vacuum that coud handle our hair? I wasnt sure if a pet hair vacuum would work? please help me! thank you!
