Is i can do a degree in distance mode along with my regular degree( i have few backlogs in my final year)..!!?

Hi is i can do distance degree along with my regular graduation ( i recently given my final year exams and i am sure that i will fail in all of it...so just to be on safe side i would like do degree in distance mode...but the problem is is i shall submit my 12 certificates along with TC to Distance university or not...if i do so than it means i am like discontinue my regular graduation which i don't want to do.pls suggest
